Albums
The discography of the American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, as well as a number of compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.
Before the formation of Toto, band members did sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.
Toto's third album, Turn Back, marked an abrupt departure from the progressive sound of their previous efforts and was criticized for the absence of hit singles. Shem Von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set called Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour and an interview with the group.

The track "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. The song was written by members of the band and produced by David Paich. It was a huge hit in Europe as well as other countries.
